About us
EKAI is owned by Cincere Ceylon Exports (Private) Limited: a company located in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. Our company is owned by Oxford and Cambridge-educated Entrepreneur Dr. Arosha Gunasekera who specialized in Development Economics for the Doctoral thesis.
The term EKAI, which translates to ‘Only One’ in the Sinhala language, acknowledges the importance of taking care of the only planet we are able to live in. We believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that the environment is not compromised in the pursuit of profit. That’s why we’re dedicated to using ethical and sustainable materials and production methods in everything we do.

Our Brand
Our brand features recycled plastic fabric, as well as peace silk (also known as Ahimsa silk), a cruelty-free and eco-friendly silk alternative made using ethical and sustainable practices which are in line with our corporate belief of Ahimsa which is to respect all living beings.
Our garments are designed to be versatile, comfortable, and functional, perfect for everyday wear or for special occasions.
At EKAI, we specialize in resort wear, swimwear and ties for both men and women. We hope to expand our selection of products and categories over the next few months.
